About
Xin Liu was born and raised in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, a beautiful city with over 2,000 years of history. From there she started her adventure with drawing. She has BFA from Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
Dreaming about exploring careers in animation movies and video games, she landed a full-time position as a concept designer / 3D artist at Virtuos, a worldly renowned video game development company. She participated in projects from big names such as EA, Gas Powered Games, Zynga, Activision and LeapFrog, etc. Later she joined Jiuzhong, a Multiplayer Online Role-Playing game company, as the lead UI designer.
After moving to the United States, she lived in Seattle and later Houston, where she continued her pursuit of arts. She embraced the opportunities of learning new skills: pottery, glass making, ukulele playing, etc. She even started her own handcrafts shop on Etsy. In her free time, she loves traveling, photography, and hiking, and left her footprints at almost every famous national park in the U.S.
At present, she is taking the Advanced Concept Art Course in CG Spectrum College of Digital Art and Animation, and her work was selected in the 2021 Student Showcase. She is also the Technical Assistant of the Concept Art and Illustration department.
She hopes she can return to the visual art family in near future, and continue her beloved career.
